    Hi there,

I have started installation on two servers WHM yesterday.
But after 24 hours it didn't complete.

    I used in both cases:

    cd /home; wget
    http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest;
    sh latest

1,5 our ago I canceled them both and started them again.

I wonder how long an average installation takes on a Quadcore server with 4 GB memory.
And which options I have to debug this issue.

    They are both Fedora 7 2.6.23.8-34.fc7 #1 SMP Thu Nov 22 20:39:56 EST 2007 x86_64

Both seems to "hang" on the same place.

Typically (depending on server hardware and connectivity) the installation should take approximately 1 hour.

You may wish to refer to the Installation Logs which have names resembling /var/log/cpanel*install*

    Common causes of this issue:
    1. Installing cPanel/WHM on a server which already had server software installed upon it. Before installing cPanel/WHM, you must have a fresh install of a supported Linux or FreeBSD distribution with no server software installed upon the server (as this causes conflicts when cPanel/WHM proceeds to install this software for you).

    2. Attempting to install cPanel/WHM on an unsupported distribution. You can find a list of distributions we support by visiting: http://www.cpanel.net/products/cpwhm/cpanel11/sys_requirements.htm

Both are new servers with fresh install only SSHD installed.

    Fedore 7 64bits is supported.

The last > 84000 (yes eighty four thousand) lines of the log file cpanel-install-thread1.log
    (in both cases)
