Hello people, I am trying to install cpanel on a 1and1 root server, I have reimaged the server with CentOS 5 minimal system (32-bit), i then did the install instructions...

    # cd /home
    # wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
    # sh latest

All seemed to work fine no errors or anything.

But I cannot log into the cpanel...

I have tried all possible combinations but nothing at all...

    http://serverip:2086
    http://serverip:2087
    http://serverip/cpanel
    http://serverip/whm
    etc etc

I have rebooted my server but no change

    nothing works... any ideas?

Sorry if this is an obvious error but like the topic title suggests I am a noob

itts an old post, but the solution is, remove firewall rules from your 1and1 admin panel.
