I know there is the "Fantastico" application to help install Joomla and integrate it with WHM.

However, it only install obsolete versions of Joomla (1.5 and 1.7, while joomla stable is 2.5 and they are about to launch 3.0)

    Questions are:

    1) Is it mandatory to install Joomla using Fantastico or is it possible to install Joomla direct without braking cPanel?

    2) Is there any special requirements, instructions or tutorials to make this Joomla installation?

Thanks in advance for any help provided.
