    Hey there guys,

    I was pretty sure that with there being VPS licenses for cPanel that there should be near no issues with installation. I am however having an issue with centos 4 and 5 installation wise. I've given the VPS 512 ram and 40GB space and (apart from the unavoidable rdate error) I am getting this fatal and nasty error:

    Any ideas on what can be done here? I was using the 'latest' script. Prior to installation I installed gcc, is there anything else I need to install before hand?

    I've got the IP Address all licensed up and ready to go! Just need to get it installed.

    Thanks.

    big chance is because cpanel installer update the udev package, which somehow doesn't compatible with openvz.

    you need to copy /dev/* from a working VE to your VE and then modify your yum.conf to exclude udev from being updated.

    then you need to ask you provider to copy it.

    add this to your yum.conf:

    Code:
    exclude=udev
