I am trying to install cpanel on FreeBSD 4.11, everything was going fine until it tried to get the 'BSD Mirrors' and it failed saying:

I am behind a firewall and I need to go through a proxy to access the web.
    Any help greatly appreciated!

It could well be a firewall issue. If you have control over the firewall, try disabling the firewall and trying again. Its not much, but all I can suggest.

Well I have got things sorted, I downloaded FreeBSD 5.3 and took the server home with me so I didnt have to install through the strict firewall at work. I am just waiting for the installer to finish... almost an hour now so much be almost finished!

Well that's certainly one effective way of bypassing the work firewall!

    Hope all goes well.
