    Hello,

    My problem is maybe a noob one I don;t know but I tried to run this as said elsewhere in this forum. I used it once before without any problems but suddenly today after a restart of the server I encountered problems.

    this is what I'm running;
    WHM 9.9.9 cPanel 9.9.9-R70
    RedHat 9 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

    Remove Cpanel Service

    # rm -f /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel

    // Commands to re-install Cpanel service
    # /scripts/installgd
    # /scripts/cleanmd5
    # /scripts/upcp

    Restart Cpanel Services

    # /etc/init.d/cpanel restart

    For installgd I get the error;

    [/]# /scripts/installgd
    -bash: /scripts/installgd: /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: Permission denied

    Same goes for upcp.
    I did some searching around and found some info that the /tmp folder might be set wrong but it's permissions are set to 777 with a sticky bit so don;t know if that's a problem there. none of the other codes work but that might just have to do with the first code not even working. I can't get the cpanel ssh to work so only way for me to login is with the ensecure version. My clients websites are still up and running but the mysql support is offline due to the exim being down again.

    when I restart Cpanel this is what I get back;

    Stopping cPanel services: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]
    Stopping pop3 services: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]
    Stopping cPanel log services: [FAILED]
    Stopping cPanel Chat services: [FAILED]
    Stopping Melange Chat services: [ OK ]
    Stopping InterChange services: [FAILED]
    Stopping cPanel ssl services: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]

    Stopping mailman services: Shutting down Mailman's master qrunner

    Starting eximstats: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]
    Starting cPanel services: [ OK ]
    Starting cPanel Log services: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]
    Starting pop3 services: [ OK ]
    Starting cPanel Chat services: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]
    Starting Melange Chat services: [ OK ]
    Starting cPanel ssl services: execvp: Permission denied
    [FAILED]
    Starting mailman services: Starting Mailman's master qrunner.

    I check the permissions off everything in the /scripts, I'm logged in as root. I don't know what to do anymore...

    thanks but because nobody anwsered really in this I found it out myself after a while, I used chmod 755 /usr/sbin/perl to get it back.

    after that got a mysql error that was resolved by shutting mysql down and restarting it, now everything works again. :)
