Installing GMP under PHP 5

Hello,

I'd like to ask you if the information presented here, http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/installing-gmp-recompiling-apache-41647.html, about configuring PHP to support GMP is still works for newer version of CPanel/EasyApache or not.
I didn't tried it personally but I would like to have it done if possible.
