In my devel server (ubuntu) I use mydumper which is a huge improvement vs mysqldump+mysql; I found this repo twindb.com/twindb-software-repository/ but I don't know how safe/unsafe is to add it.

    Can anybody help me?

    thanks

    Hello :)

There's no native support for this application, so it would require you to manually configure/install it. However, feel free to vote and add your feedback to the existing feature request at:

    Support MyDumper (Faster MySQL dumping)

    Thank you.

I don't think we built Debian packages for Mydumper
