How can i provide my clients to instant access to their account with FTP and/or http?
So far my client has to wait until their NS records successfully propagate.

    Hello :)

Users can access FTP immediately by using an IP address on the server as the hostname. As for browsing their websites before propagation, one option is the Apache mod_userdir Tweak, documented at:

    Apache Mod_UserDir Tweak

The mod_userdir Apache module allows visitors to access websites on your server by entering a hostname or domain, followed by a tilde (~) and the website owner’s username as the directory path part of the URL. Example:

    http://host.example.com/~username

Another option would be to have the client adjust the hosts file on their machine, pointing the domain name to the IP address assigned to their account.

    Thank you.

    Dear Michael
Thanks for reply. However would you give me some example.
I did not understand what you mean "Users can access FTP immediately by using an IP address on the server as the hostname."
so clients has to type 111.222.333.444 as host name or ftp.111.222.333.444 or 111.222.333.444.clientname i am little confuse about this.
Another problem is i followed your advise and Enabled Apache mod_userdir Tweak settings but somehow http://111.222.333.444/~client redirect to client's original homepage which is hosting different host company...

If the IP address of the server is 1.2.3.4, then you would enter 1.2.3.4 in the FTP client under Hostname.

As for the issue with the Apache Mod_UserDir Tweak, could you clarify the exact redirect that is occurring? For instance, it is displaying a page from another account, or is actually redirecting to another domain name completely? If there is a redirect within the account's webpage itself, you will need to disable that.

    Thank you.

Have you disabled Apache Mod_UserDir protection, or have you left it enabled and excluded protection on certain hosts?

Please feel free to open a support ticket for this issue so we may take a closer look:

    Hello :)

Agreed. However, in some cases the best way to determine the exact problem is to login to your server and investigate. Then, once we resolve the issue, we can post back on here describing what the problem was.

If you are still receiving the "404 Not Found" error message, I suggest opening a ticket with the URL I provided, and we can check for the exact cause.

    Thank you.
