Among many different things, I have tried doing:

su cpanel -c 'gpg --import /home/username/key.asc'
    ls -l /usr/local/cpanel/.gnupg

But it 'aint working. I've been at this for days... Anyone know how to get this to work?

Ever get this working? I'm trying to import a public key for a user right now (first gpg experience is a bad one) and it's giving me some insecure memory error. I don't know if you got that as well trying it, but it's driving me nuts.
