Whenever I restart cPanel, I get the following, and I must quit it for it to go away.

    Code:
Failed to restart: No such file or directory at /usr/local/cpanel/bin/startinterchange line 35.
    Ideas?

Try these commands logged in as root user via SSH:

    chkconfig interchange off

    service interchange stop

That is, if you wish to disable this service.

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply :)

So, the interchange service is not needed?

In any case, interchange is not a recognised service in SSH. So i can't stop/restart/start or disable it in chkconfig :(

    Hello,

    What does the following show?

    Code:
    /etc/init.d/cpanel status
I'm not worried about errors for Interchange, since it will always fail to stop or start anyway due to not being enabled. I'm more concerned about the status for cpsrvd for cPanel.

    Next, please run these commands:

    Code:
    /usr/local/cpanel/cpsrvd-ssl
    /usr/local/cpanel/cpsrvd
    Thanks!

    Hi

It shows that cpsrvd is running, and all the other services are stopped (entry, melange etc)

So, cPanel restart itself is hanging due to that return on the start attempt for a service that doesn't exist on the machine? Normally, you only get stopping it failing rather than a start being tried. If you are having cPanel start hang, could you open up a ticket using WHM > Support Center > Contact cPanel or using the link in my signature?
