Interchange fails every night on a server, and needs to be manually restarted every morning.

Nothing seems to help; none of the fixinterchange related scripts and commands, updating to CPanel 7.x, etc. This has been going on for well over a month now.

Any ideas? Thanks, I appreciate it!

Interchange fails because it's a POS. You can either create a cron to restart it every morning or move to something better.

LOL, well, if it were up to me I would not be using it. Still, it should not be keeling over every night.

Perhaps try upgrading to Interchange 4.9. Then execute the following:

    /scripts/rebuildinterchangecfg
    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/startinterchange

Thanks, but that's actually one of the things I tried. Unfortunately, even with Interchange 4.9 the problem continues.

There is thread somewhere about how:

    - Cpanel and Interchange do not work well together
    - v4.8 should be the only Interchange version used

Not to say v4.8 will solve your problem, but that is the version I use and have no problems with it.

OSCommerce is just as good and runs well. Screw Interchange! Their attitude stinks, and so does their software (way too bloated).

    Why not change . . .

Considering Interchange's "resentment of Cpanel" why not replace and/or discontinue Interchange. Or at least move OSCommerce into the shopping carts offered folder and out of the addon's.

Taz which Gateway are you using OSCommerce with? Which version of OSCommerce are you using?
