I might be going insane here, but I still have a random few machines that don\'t accept the fact that the \"Spreadsheet::ParseExcel\" module is present on the system.

It is occuring on a few machines, Redhat 7.0 or higher.... with all of the suggestions at : http://support.cpanel.net/new/viewthread.php?tid=451 , attempted many times. Manually installing the module has no bearing on the error -->

....................
Upload Products
XLS product upload will not work properly.
Please install needed Perl modules:
Spreadsheet::ParseExcel
The easiest way to do this is to use the CPAN module
....................

Reinstalling the prescribed layer1 perl pack has no bearing / any script designed to fix/tweak interchange has no bearing. I am obviously missing something, perhaps there is a superstar out there that knows an ultimate fix for this?

Am I the only neanderthal still having issues with this?

Danke, if thou can provide assistance.

I\'v seen that on a few servers also. I install the module from CPAN with \'wget\' and that seems to have stopped it.

I\'m unclear as of this method- my apologies, can you give me a bit more detail?

Thank you, I will be forever in your debt. :P

wget is just a way to download the modules from Cpan:

wget http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/K/KW/KWITKNR/Spreadsheet-ParseExcel-0.2404.tar.gz

Then untar the file and install in the usual way.

Thanks!
I had no idea what you meant, I thought you wanted me to wget within cpan.
I rule!
hah.

Anyway the module IO::Scalar was missing, even though cpan and the various scripts didn\'t care to tell me about it previously.

Just FYI.

Love.
