I am sure that somene else has had this issue so I thought I would post it here to see if someone has the answer;

I am creating local user database and username via root password for mysql and granting priviledges to them for all. Although this works and you can connect to the database with the new user it does not show in cpanel that they have the priviledges, what does cpanel do to show these in the cpanel window? IE to show the following;
Users in shop
server_admin (Privileges: ALL PRIVILEGES)

Connection Strings
Perl $dbh = DBI->connect("DBI:mysql:server_shop:localhost",
"server_admin","<PASSWORD HERE>");
PHP $dbh=mysql_connect ("localhost", "server_admin",
"<PASSWORD HERE>") or die('Cannot connect to the database because: ' . mysql_error());
mysql_select_db ("server_shop");

Any help appreciated!

How do I get these to display? I am adding the user priviledges via root login but they do not display!
If you are doing this via root login to a user's cPanel, it is not possible to perform MySQL activities.

You should be able to perform them via PHPMyAdmin via WHM as root.
