Does anyone have any idea why upgrading the linux kernel would cause WHM to display an "invalid license" message? It has a countdown to re-try verification, which seems to work, but I never saw this with the old kernel. Also, MySQL fails to work after installing the latest kernel, and I think it's related to cPanel/WHM. When I reverted to the old kernel WHM and MySQL work without complaint.

Presumably, this is related to your other post regarding MySQL. Most likely is that if you were usaing a secure virtual /tmp partition, it's corrupt or not mounted. Best thing to do would be to recreate it, or at the very least:

    chmod 1777 /tmp

    Then try restarting MySQL, etc.
