Invalid mailbox name

I'm going crazy over this issue. Recently I converted some accounts to the new maildir layout and I noticed that all new accounts are created in this way. It all works fine, except for one (pretty big) thing:

I cannot add folders in either Entourage nor in Outlook (Express). I only get "Invalid mailbox name" out of the IMAP server, no matter what I do. The only way to add folders is to add subfolders, but this is not by far a good solution, seeing as Entourage and Outlook (Express) configure themselves to work with specific folders when storing sent e-mail or filtering out spam.

Any thoughts on this?

Go to:

Tools->Accounts

Under the Properties for your account, select the IMAP tab.

For root path to your inbox, type:

INBOX

For path to sent items, use the default:

Sent

Worked for me.
