IP Address Pool Issues

While I was moving some unused IP addresses from one server to another's pool, I ran across an issue.

When clicking Remove in "Show or Delete Current IP Addresses" - ALL dedicated ip addresses (except the main shared IP) are deleted, affecting sites on dedicated IP addresses. Clicking on Show IP Address Usage only displays the main shared IP. BUT the addresses still display in "Show or Delete Current IP Addresses" and you cannot re-add them to the pool.

In the meantime, all dedicated IP address customers are down.

I checked the forum and tried manually re-adding them to /etc/ipaddrpool but this did not resolve the issue. Anyone have any ideas? In the meantime, I've submitted a support request... Thanks.

Looking through ifconfig, I noticed the addresses were missing there. I added the addresses back in using ifconfig, which makes the sites work. But do the ip addresses need to be listed elsewhere?? ipaddrpool??

They will be listed in /etc/ipaddrpool if they are available for use. If they are in use, they will not be listed there.

Make sure you are binding the IPs to the server with WHM as well or they might be deleted when WHM cleans up its IP info.
