IP Address Sharing Problems

Hi Everyone,

I moved my web server yesterday to a new spot in a the data center and hand to change its IP address. After the move, I'm unable to assign a public IP address to more than one host. If I assign the main public IP address to one host cPanel says that that IP address is reserved by that account. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Nate,

Can you check whether the IP is reserved or the domain? You can check it from WHM >> IP Functions >> Show / Edit reserved IP's. Also check whether the IP is shared or not?

Root Administrator
Check if the file /etc/domainips has the IP listed in it. If it does, remove the line showing the domain with the IP, then re-try to use the IP for other accounts.
