    Hi,
I have an IP that is: 65.75.145.200.
    My site is: http://www.switchhost.com.au
    My nameserver is: ns1.switchhost.com

    the question is:
why is it that when i type: 65.75.145.200, it resolves to a customers site: http://www.techmaster.net.au?

and when i type mail.switchhost.com.au it redirects to techmaster.net.au

how do i make switchhost.com.au as the main domain? and how do I keep new domains added from getting on 65.75.145.200?

    thanks
    whatsthis.

That domain is probably the 1st domain in your httpd.conf file listed for that ip. If you want to use another, you will probably have to add a domain in your httpd.conf before the other domain for that ip.

Your dig record below shows NXDOMAIN for ns1.switchost.com. Usually means you need to add an "A" record for your name server.
    ; <<>> DiG 9.2.1 <<>> ns1.switchost.com.au

Also should ask if you are getting the infamous "rndc" error when restarting bind. If so search the forum as there are several threads relating to fixing that issue.
