I keep getting emails sent to me at root@myserver.com, with the contents being just

    iptables: Memory allocation problem

    Repeated loads of times

Why is this and how can I stop it?

Yeah, it's being sent to one of my VPS customers- any idea on how to stop it?

We have a couple VPS servers that were throwing the same error. Our NOC had us flush the iptables and the problem disappeared. Just a thought.

That error is generated when iptables reaches the maximum memory limit
which varies depending on how much memory is available on the server.

Either reduce some of the old or unnecessary entries in iptables or upgrade
the server memory and the problem will go away
