I have seached the threads and read docs but still i cant find my /backup dir.. I want to customize the name but i want to make sure its in the same area were i put my new dir. My backups are not working because i assume it wont make my dir name by itself i have to create it in ssh first. So i just want to find the original so i can put my custom one in the same area, but i cant find any original. So that tells me that its not there and does not get created by default.

In that case does everything custom go in /etc or what?

    thanks.. :)

The docs should be helpful here:
Configure Backup Directory - cPanel Documentation

    Note:
Local destination does NOT mean on the same HDD. If you back up everything to the same drive, and something goes wrong and that drive dies, you lose it all. A second drive locally is a much better idea. Along with a remote drive on another server as well.

The more backups the better. Backups are your friend.

When backups run, proper directories are created if they do not exist.
