is cpanel and WHM all I need to start a server?

    ok i have a windows xp pc,if i install linux on this pc,and i install cpanel and WHM,is this all i need to have an up and running server? i have absolutely no other software.
    Will installing cpanel and whm provide me with the server and include ftp server, etc.

    In terms of server capabilities, yes. However, cPanel/WHM is designed for commercial web hosting operations. As a result, it is not designed for use on personal computers. You need a publicly visible static IP address to install cPanel/WHM on. Dynamic or Sticky IP addresses are not acceptable. Additionally, you must be using a supported distribution of Linux or FreeBSD, listed at:
