Is cPanel preventing another script on server from sending mail?

    Hello

On our server (CentOS 6), we have cPanel/WHM installed as well as another piece of software that is unrelated to cPanel. The issue is when the unrelated application attempts to send an email but it fails. The way the software sends email is that it theres a file called rssmail.csh first references to the location of csh on the server, then there is a command that pipes a standard input to the sendmail script thus sending the email.

From SSH, we've ran "/usr/lib/sendmail mail-address < message.txt" to test sendmail on the server which works, but when our application attempts to send an email by using the csh, it fails.

So my question is, is cPanel preventing this unrelated third party program from sending mail? (the software runs as a standard user so nothing is being executed as root). Any tips, recommendations, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
