    Upon inquiring about whether there was going to be a new exim+virusscan for exim4, I was told by a cPanel support staff that:

    The problem was that the exim4 upgrade removed files that were needed by the scanner and disabled it (it was working fine before the upgrade, but after the upgrade the scanning simply stopped). However, this particular technician told me that they hadn't been removed, so I'm a little worried about his solution. Can anybody with a test box confirm that the current exim+virusscan (which was built for exim3) will work with exim4?

    I too was using exim+virusscan and noticed after the upgrade to Exim4, that virus scanning stopped. In exim.conf, I noticed that the system_filter line changed from antivirus.clam.exim to antivirus.exim. If the line is changed back to antivirus.clam.exim, then I get the error:

    2003-07-20 02:51:29 19eAnp-00069D-Ut Error in system filter: failed to expand "${perl{amavis_filter_scan}{$message_id}{$sender_address}{$recipients}}" in filter file: Undefined subroutine &main::amavis_filter_scan called.\n

    I tried to fix to this problem by adding: do '/usr/share/amavis/amavis-filter';
    to exim.pl though it doesn't solve the problem. A reinstall of exim+virusscan doesn't solve the problem either. Any other ideas?

    I'm running cpanel 7.2.1r45 on a redhat 7.2 box.
