    Hello,

I am about to complete a fresh install of cPanel on a Fedora Core 2 box and I was just wodering the about the following:

Is it a bad idea to have my main ip as 1.2.3.4 with ns.domain.com as 1.2.3.4 and ns2.domain.com as 1.2.3.5?

    Thanks (as always)
    Lamp

Not a bad idea. Depends on how many sites you want to have on that primary IP. No magic number per say. The other issue would be no dns redundancy. Unless you have secondary dns located off your main server then no dns info will be available if your server is down.

I'm just planning on having one website on the ns ip.

    Good point about redundancy though.

    Thanks.
