    Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this, but I have a question about having the MySQL server as an external server linked to one or more cPanel servers.

We are interested in having a server exclusively for MySQL for increased server performance. I am wondering if it is possible to have MySQL hosted & processed on a separate server? For example we would have one server with shared hosting clients with cPanel installed and then have another server that was for MySQL?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Bryan

    Bryan,

Look into remote mysql server within WHM. I've never set it up with accounts on it, but I've set it up on a clean server (no accounts on it) and it works well.

I will look into that... thanks for the help.

Has anyone actually used it with active accounts? If so, please share your experience.
