Sure, that's what we made Feature Manager for. Just go to WHM -> Packages -> Feature Manager. There, you can create your own feature list which can later be assigned to specific packages.

Alternatively, if you want to disable functionality for all users on the server, you can edit the "disabled" feature list.

If you create your own feature list, note that you cannot apply it directly to a single cPanel account. Instead, you must assign it to a Package. To do this, edit or create a new package and for the field labeled Feature List, select the feature list you have created. You would then assign this package to the user's account by going to WHM -> Account Functions -> Upgrade/Downgrade an Account. There is also a similar function in the Multi-Account Functions section of WHM if you wish to do this for multiple accounts.

    cPanelDavidG,

    thanks for the detail,

but i find it looks cpanel does not reach what i want.

i just hope i can create two themes for cpanel user to chose by themself,

the one theme has basic feature and another has all the features of cpanel original support,

i want to assign basic feature as default for all the account,

it will make cpanel user be more easy to study to control cpanel and their account,

when they are familiar with the cpanel and they can change the theme to the another complex one by themself.

    thanks

If I was going to attempt a project like this myself, I would create a cPanel Plug-In as to add a new icon to the cPanel interface that users can click on to switch interfaces. This plug-in would be a page that, when a user clicks on the option to view the advanced functionality, it would login to WHM using the XML API and simply change the package associated with that user.

We have some documentation on our website that you may find relevant for doing this at: http://cPanel.net/plugins/devel
