I've installed a new cPanel theme and set this as the new default theme, however the packages still contain the original theme. Is there a script or menu option somewhere to bulk update the existing package definitions ?

Try 'Edit Packages' under 'Packages'. It should update all sites that have that package.

    Thanks,

That will only update the currently created accounts (these have already been updated), I need to update the package definition for all my packages so that new accounts are created with the new theme without having to manually edit each package definition.

The simplest way is to manually edit the packages by editing the files in /var/cpanel/packages.

That was my solution, but thought they may be a formal route rather than editing the files directly.

From Rvskin.com Documentation page. They also have their own script that will do it all if you have it installed.

    hey

Any other ways of doing this ?
I have NO files in the packages folder !!!!

Can you not do it in cPanel itself ??
I just want to change all themes from "monsoon" (sic) to the orginal "x" and make it so any new domains use "x" as well.

    cheers
    Andy
