Is there a way in cPanel/WHM to limit how many email forwarders an account can have. If I could do this via an api that would help in a large migration plan to move customers from custom solution to cPanel.

    Warm regards

    Go on, have a guess
AFAIK, there's no limit on the number of forwarders, which could be seen as a problem if someone creates thousands of them.

I suppose you could intercept the API call for creating an email filter using a cPanel Hook (/usr/local/cpanel/hooks/README) and create your own system for managing such things.

You may also wish to make an official feature request for this at: cPanel Feature Requests
