Yes, have them go to cPanel under FTP accounts and POP email accounts.

no, im talking about the mail account. the one that is created with the hosting account. so if i create a hosting account with a username: mike
then i will also automaticaly have an email setup: mike@mydomain.com and an ftp account setup with the username: mike.

I don't see the option in cpanel of chaning the password for those accounts. You can do it for OTHER email and ftp accounts but the the mail onces...

Under site management tools, change password in Cpanel. That changes the user name password, in this case Mike.

I think they are all be default, the same. If it is not so, I am sure someone will correct me  , but that is my understanding. Why do you not just create a new account and transfer the domain to it?

The cPanel username is a "real" linux user, while the added email users and FTP users are all virtual users and because of this they are unrelated to each other. This is why an added email user and an added FTP user can have different passwords, while the cPanel user and default email and FTP user cannot.

So to answer you question, independant password changes cannot be done for the cPanel username.

is there a way to disable the creation of those main ftp and email accounts? I don't mind doing some coding if I were to know what files to modify

    Go on, have a guess
No, it's not possible, they're a part of the cPanel account creation process and use.
