    I am looking for a way to downgrade WHM/CP (currently running WHM 7.2.0 cPanel 7.2.1-R45 RedHat 7.1 - WHM X v2.1).
Exim is dead and my clients are getting very upset. Since for some reason they removed the ability to go back to exim3 in WHM 7.2 I need to revert to a prev stable version and then load exim3 (if this is poss). Any tips on how to do this would be a big help.

Try fixing the issues at hand.

Set manual update to STABLE in WHM.

    Login to SSH as root.

    /scripts/updatenow
[ Making sure all your scripts are up to date ]

    /scripts/upcp
    [ Wait until done ]

    /scripts/exim4
    [ Upgrade to latest exim4 build ]

    /scripts/fixcommonproblems
[ Fix all common problems including incorrect permissions ]

Then your issues *should* be resolved.

Thanks for the post. I was able to get exim running this afternoon, i ran:

    scripts/updatenow

    /scripts/upcp

    /scripts/exim4

I saw your post after and was hesitant to run /scripts/fixcommonproblems without testing system first. If exim is functiontioning ok do you think i should still run /scripts/fixcommonproblems?

Gawd, some of you people really dont read. Why dont you stop upgrading till you know what you are up against. If you know that the next upgrade will not let you downgrade then then why upgrade in the first place? I dont get it! Try to work with what you have! And start reading the forums. Maybe that way you will get a clue!
