The two options I see are:

spam assassin - Which causes major load issues.
spam box - Which gets you blacklisted

Anything that we can pay for, maybe a plug in?

If we could run Spam Box remotely, that would be amazing. Is there a script for this anywhere?

I meanly want something like spam assassin and spam box but without the massive server load or risk of Blacklists.

    Thanks,
    Charles

    Hello :)

There are several third-party SPAM appliance services offered. You can search for "spam appliance" on our forums to see input from other users on services from companies such as Barracuda or MailFoundry.

    Thank you.

    Sorry, you didn't understand.

I am looking for a WHM plug in or something that in connected to Cpanel, it could be through root if not a plug in. I also did a search for "spam appliance" and just got a bunch of junk threads and threads no one replied to.

The solution would have to work with cpanel by editing the dns zones in real time with the spam service.

More like remote mysql, remote dns, or cloud Linux.

It probably just doesn't exist yet.

On a side note, Barracuda is horrible, would never use their products. I deal with false spam blocks weekly from them.

To clarify, are you not seeking a remote service that handles SPAM filtering for your server? Are you looking for an application as a replacement to SpamAssassin that runs on your server? The more information you provide, the more likely it is you will receive more user-feedback.

    Thank you.

We are running Xeams mailserver as a primary spamscanner on a second server then forwarding the mail on to the main server, it cuts down the majority of the spam.

I'm using McAfee SaaS for clients that want better filtering.
But, I've also unloaded a lot of email load by moving people to Google Apps, which is much better for all the mobile connections we all do now.

    Hi,

Our firm has been selling I.T. security products for almost 20 years, and created a managed spam filtering service called CudaMail which steps between the internet and your mail server, cleans the mail and delivers to the server. It's a bunch of grouped spam firewall appliances in two data centers, all surrounded by a proprietary pre-filter that knocks out known spammers and their i.p. addresses before it even reaches the system.

    - Located in Canada (in case anyone has concerns about data being in the U.S.)

We have many sites, including some blogs - that involve CPanel, so we're familiar with the desire that people have to be able to manage their own sites. If a person doesn't have enough I.T. infrastructure to buy and install an actual spam firewall, a managed spam filtering service can be a great alternative.

At any rate, I thought I'd add my 2 cents to help people find some additional options to the great ones also posted here.

    David
