Got a job from friend whose got mocked by his ex server admin. For some reason, I need to delete all *.db into /var/named dir and let cpanel rebuild it and use the default TTL config from WHM config.

Is there any way to do it? I did rebuilddnsconfig and rebuildnsdzones and still have no luck yet.

You cannot rebuild the zone files using any of the cPanel scripts for BIND. You can only rebuild /etc/named.conf file itself.

The script /scripts/rebuildnsdzones is only used for NSD servers that are using it for the nameserver in WHM > Nameserver Selection area.

The .db files weren't actually deleted, were they? Does a backup of the files exist?

The /var/named/*.db files are still exist, but all refresh retry expire minimum has wrong (at least not standart value) because edited by ex server admin. If there's no way to rebuild it then I guess I should edit the value manually. Thanks for your info Tris.
