I can set PTR records for the 3 accounts i have on my server
each has its own domain name,
I check with dnsstuf.com and each get the green light for RDNS

When i try to add a PTR record for my name servers
its a no go, just wont happen at all,
But the domain name which is part of my name server
gets a green light with a working PTR record, no probs at all

Now this is only a prob because my invision board needs to send validation
emails to new members, but some (mostly from AOL) are rejected and returned

Is this a problem with the datacenter needing to set it up for me ?
I am not sure because it works fine for the accounts on my server

    any ideas ?

    Thanks for reading

    Go on, have a guess
Not sure that I understand. PTR records are for IP addresses, not domains. You should only have one PTR record for each IP address and they will only work if you have authourity delegated to you by the IP block owner if you down own them yourself.
