is xinetd necessary on a cpanel server ? Reading this
http://www.xinetd.org/#features , it seems that it acts such a firewall. Since I ahve already csf running
I see not reason to run xinetd which was overlaoding one of my servers.

    What do you think ?

    Thank you

    Go on, have a guess
xinetd runs daemons through TCPWrappers. If you use any of those applications (hint: check them in /etc/xinetd.d) then you need to run it. If you don't you can disa\ble it if you want.

    Thank you.
I disabled it from some day and it fixed various overloading problems .Now the server
    is much much more stable.
