    Hi,
My load goes to almost 200. I went ahead and renamed sendmail to sendmail.bak in the /usr/sbin location and then load drops to 1. Any idea how to fix sendmail so it doesn't cause a huge server load because then no emails are being sent and received.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

Are you sure its sendmail that causing problem.
    Try top command in SSH
    Code:
    top

Also, what is max mails per hour limit in your WHM Home >> Tweak settings >> Mails

And how many mails you have in WHM Home >> Email >> Mail Queue Manager

    Hello :)

I recommend reviewing /var/log/exim_mainlog or your mail queue to see which account is sending out email. It's possible there is a spammer sending large amounts of email out which is resulting in a high server load.

Also, the following thread may be of help to you:

    Thank you.
