I have java installed on my local machine and it's up to date.
Not only that, but my hosting company verified that it doesn't work for them either any more.
It worked fine for years but now all of a sudden nobody can see my countdown.
I copied the following from my index.html that I got from the cpanel CGI:

<applet code="countdown.class"
codebase="http://telluridetom.com/java-sys" width="203" height="21">
<param name="font" value="lcdb0"><param name="year" value="2013"><param
name="month" value="6"><param name="day" value="20"><param name="hour"
value="10"></applet>

Can anyone help?

Do you have Java enabled in your browser? Do you have java installed on your local machine? If you were one of the wise people who uninstalled Java because of security issue that was just recently patched, then you wouldn't see that regardless, right?

Yes, I have java installed (the latest updates) and it's enabled in my browser.
I'm not the only one experiencing the problem.
As far as I can tell nobody has been able to view the countdown on my site, including the host tech support.
It has always worked in the past (numerous years) so I assumed it was a cpanel issue related to some recent change.

If you can verify that it works, please let me know what browser works. I've got the latest Firefox and Internet Explorer.
The website in question is:
/http://www.telluridetom.com
The countdown is near the bottom of the page.

Well, since I didn't get any helpful responses here I've utilized other sources and created a fix for my problem.
Rather than use a java applet I found a javascript that does the same thing.
Whoever administrates this forum, you can delete this thread if you wish, unless you want to keep it up for others looking for answers to the same problem.
