    Hello,

I have installed Tomcat 4, and the installation went fine, and JSP files are served properly. But JDBC stopped working after the upgrade. It gave a weird error:

I haven't heard of anyone getting 4.1 working. Why don't you stay at 4.0.3?

I downloaded the package from Cpanel, and it says 4.1. I never used 4.0.3 before as I was using Tomcat 3.

Have also tried to use the older MySQL JDBC driver (from Tomcat3) by adding the .jar to classpath. But that doesn't solve the problem. Ideas?

I installed the October 31st 4.1.29 stable version and it works better then any other version I have used. No need for restarts, works off the bat and easy to configure.
So now you heard of a successful install casey....

There is a line missing from that stack trace in your post.

    What was the actual error?

    ClassNotFoundException?
    NullPointerException?

I've setup Tomcat on a bunch of machines (manually), but not cPanel box yet.
