When I asked for the support this evening via a ticket on JetApps/Jetbackup - I was told that because I bought the addon via cPanel rather than yourselves, directly - I wouldn't be able to receive support and that I'd have to find my own way, and ask for support from cPanel. Which one is it? Seems like a very convoluted process just to get help. I like the product, but so far not overly impressed with these hurdles.

Just to clarify, we advise directly requesting support with your JetBackup license provider (cPanel) as it is best to work through your JetBackup inquiries and concerns with them and ensures a more expedient resolution to most problems. cPanel can always escalate a ticket directly to us and receive priority technical support if a development issue is determined to be the cause of your issue. The JetApps team will work together with cPanel to ensure a quick resolution or bug fix.
With that said, I'm glad to see that we were able to clarify your inquiry regarding how to download backups in JetBackup 5. We are always happy to answer any general inquiries or questions you may have regarding JetBackup but do request reaching out to your license provider as they may have more information about their particular integration of JetBackup and guarantee that our team does not overstep our Partner's (cPanel) support process.
