    Hello,

We face permission issue when using Joomla. Joomla says the directories are unwritable even when the folder permission is 755. Earlier it was writable and now suddenly this has changed. Having chmod to 777 is dangerous,so any one know why the directories are unwritable? We use litespeed server.

    Thanks

You might check to see who actually owns the directory. I can't assist with litespeed though. You might dig around the forums here for other threads on that topic.

Thanks for the answer. I can see the directories and files are owned by the user. Yet, it is unwritable.

I guess you can solve it by using the FTP to your site and using the CHMod unix/linux command to change the file permissions to 644.
