I've installed jsp-4.x fine on my server but I have 1 problem - if a site which has JSP's enabled and also has the index.jsp file within the folder - the index.jsp file does not get show by default - even though I have added the index.jsp to the DirectoryIndex in httpd.conf -is there any other files it would have to be added into?

    Thanks

    :)

althou when looking via WHM for the server status Tomcat_JSP seems to be down / failed - even after I have rebooted / restarted the service - altho if I goto a jsp file it works correctly

    Any ideas?

    Thanls

Do you have another index.* file in that directory? The order of preference is based on what you have defined in your httpd.conf file. If there is an index.html file as well, it will always get loaded first based on the default config.

There is nothing inside of the directory apart from the index.jsp file and other sub directories - instead of the jsp coming up all folders are displayed.

Also my Tomcat Server seems to be dead ( reported via WHM and cannot even restart ) - even thou JSP pages are being parsed this may be one of the problems.

To recap on how I installed - I wget the latest 4x tomcat from layer1 extracted and installed - what other steps would be needed / need to be added to the httpd.conf file once installed? as I think the problem lies that it hasnt 100% installed correctly altho JSP files seem to work fine?

    Thanks
