As said above: Just a case study. Two things done: re-arrange commands and make it friendlier.

Three very common commands (New Account, Server Status, WHM News) are placed additionally on top of the grouped commands.

PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER TO ASK IF AND HOW YOU CAN HAVE THIS SKIN. This skin can not go live as it can in no way co-operate with the current WHM architecture! This is just a fake!

To see it live (no links work): http://portal-im.net/whm/

VO right? ;)

Same #()$#* boat after I get this advice

[quote:14eeb98e98]
check layer1.cpanel.net or layer2.cpanel.net
[/quote:14eeb98e98]

However VO uses a very different install script and the cpanel buildapache.sea leave you high and dry. (At least I have everything running now excpet for php)

what some of you might think of doing, it get yourself a crappy pentium class computer, it'll run you for maybe $50-$100.

Install your OS on it, then install a beta version of Cpanel, and test your updates there first, that way you won't have any down time if it fails...

I did this, saves me time

gorgo,

It isn't that we don't know what we are doing, it's that venturesonline has things setup differently than most cpanel providers. buildapache.sea will kill a server at VO because of that and all the testing done on a &test server& won't do us any good. Just letting you know.. ;)

I like it too but get rid of those creepy people. I have nightmares enough. Looks like 20 people looking and waiting for me to fix or do something for them .. let's see.. wife, dad, brother ... 300 screaming clients !!! How about some nice a gentle icons that make us happy? :)

Well, first, Nick you get a copy on Monday (or you just get the files from the web, it's only the initial page, I will make some subsequential pages for tables, lists, etc).

Second, these are coyrighted pictures and each costs 30$ if you want to use them in a procduct (I am not sure how legal it was to include the compos in this design, anyway).

Third, I think people are more friendly than abstract harddrives, intel-boxes or flying emails (or anything)

and fourth, actually I wanted to include just pictures of ONE lady, a different one for each command group but of course it needs a photo session, then this would cost too and I wanted to first hear your opinion if it is welcome to illustrate the WHM rather with people than with objects etc. etc.

But ANYWAY there will be a similar CP for the enduser. I only need some time :)

Have a nice weekend everybody!

Really? I have those same images on my Homera Photo-Objects 50,000 Premium Image Collection that I purchased and those images are not copyrighted. They are available for use in and on any web page witout fees.

Where did you get yours?

The pictures of people would get very boring pretty quick, especiallyfor those of us that spend a lot of time in WHM. I think most people have gotten so used to small unintrusive icons that don't draw attention to themselves.. The pictures of people automatically draw your eyes to them and that should not be where the focus is..

So I guess what I'm saying is that I agree with those that would rather have simple icons....

Now the one thing that I have not said yet is that ABSOLUTELY GREAT, FANTASTIC, SUPER, WONDERFUL, OUTSTANDING and MARVELOUS job Kosmo...
