Just added secure.domain.com for SSL

I just acquired an SSL cert for one of my customers using the hostname secure.domain.com. Apache is loading the &IfDefine SSL& record that I manually entered just fine (it's pointing at the public_html directory of domain.com). I've added an A record into the domain.com zone file and restarted bind. I still can't ping secure.domain.com, nor access it via https. Any ideas? Did I miss something?

The customer is planning on going live tomorrow, so please assist asap.

can you resolve the domain from the server it is hosted on? If not, then you have an error in your NS files...

nslookup secure.domain.com

Yes, it resolves properly. This shouldn't be any kind of propagation issue either since it is just an A Record of a domain that has already propagated. I'm baffled.
