The number of our hosting accounts is growing very fast.
We are currently using microsoft access to record account dtails.

Does anyone have a better solution to control cutomer records/billing

Best wishes

might also want to check out WHNBilling, we will have a new version 2.0 coming out very soon

http://webhostingbilling.com

It does not work with WorldPay though, only Cybercash and Authorize.net

I wish you would look at skipjack.com and see what's required to integrate it with that. I'd buy in a second if it did and there are quite a few hosts I've talked to that's signing up with merchants that use skipjack.

We use Modernbill. It is very nice. We also wrote a small php script that works with their Vortech signup form and creates our accounts automatically :)

Bert

on closer examination of your site and signup procedure, I'm even more impressed. could you put me in touch with someone capable of customising ModernBill sign up screens to the same standard as yours.

Hello ivaninch,

We actually got them from cpanelskins.net. I just changed a couple of things and created the Flash demo for them. :)

You have the whois and signup inside a frame?

You have 2 boxes New Domain Registration and Existing Domain on the same screen, is this done using vortech1 and vortech2.

Just some rough idea would help a lot thanks.

Oh, I see. Yes, we have two separate signup forms. One is for domain registration only and the other one for domains/hosting. The two boxes go to different places. It is kind of complicated the way we did it, the first box passes the domain to a Perl script that does the domain searching, I decided to use a whois script because the whois provided by Modernbill is not too good, it does not check for .cc or .ws domains among others. Then, after the info is sent to the whois script, the script sends the domain variable back to a custom PHP script that we wrote where the customer can choose either domain registration only or domain and hosting. From that point on, depending on the option they select they are taken to the appropriate Vortech signup forms. We have modified the domain only signup form so that it does not show hosting plans.

Hope this helps a little :)
