Keeps redirecting to my main url when using sharedip/~username to preview the site

I'm moving a wordpress site to a new host and when using the cpanel temporary url sharedip/~username it keeps redirecting me to my domain url and show the site hosted at my old host. I have looked over Apache mod_userdir Tweak and thy are unchecked. I haven't updated the nameservers yet since i wanted to make sure the site is functioning well before doing that.

Any advice on how to fix this?

Hello

Sites that use mod_rewrite and other directives in their .htaccess files will not work as expected when viewed through mod_userdir URLs. You can actually modify the hosts file on your personal computer if you want to see the website in it's existing state before the DNS is updated. The hosts file is documented here
