kernel problems

    after kernel upgrade from source i get this message in /var/log/messages :

    *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x08105948 ***

    Does any one know why i get this message ?

    kernel is 2.6.16.18.

    well, this error is usually caused by either apache/php/mysql , you may want to re-compile those 3 and re-download and force re-install glibc related to your distro.

    downgrade zend optimiser to 2.6.2

    can this cause big server load ?

    can advise the step to downgrade the zend

    i noticed that this is just after user disconects from FTP ( proftpd )

    Jun 5 21:09:34 web0 *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x08107c58 ***


    Any advice ?

    I already tried /scripts/ftpup --force
