    whm even kernel do updates make apparent where can I this prevent?

    WHM does not upgrade your kernel. However, when the nightly upcp runs it will run your OS's update procedure (e.g. up2date or yum). If you don't want your kernel updated you have to modify whichever update procedure your OS uses to exclude kernel updates. You can find methods on doing this in yum and up2date on these forums.
