    What is kscand? It seems to be using quite a bit of CPU...

    kscand is a background page scanning daemon. It's spawned from a kernel thread originating from the init process.

    If you see it running for a significant amount of time, you may want to consider upgrading your kernel.

    Thanks for the info. I have upgraded the kernel twice, but I never deleted the old kernels. Could that be related?
