lack details in CGI error log

    When I was debugging my problematic Perl CGI scrip, I could only see a line of simple error message from Cpanel error log, like:

    [Sun Feb 29 01:51:32 2004] [error] [client 24.30.120.238] Premature end of script headers: /home/pku/public_html/cgi-bin/puaasc/reg.cgi

    What I want to see is more details of the error, like which line and what kind of error my script has, similar to the Apache error log file. Where I can I find such information in Cpanel please?

    What you're seeing is the apache error log (or at least your domains part of it), and you're unlikely to see more. For better results stick this line in the perl script directly below the first line:

    I automatically put that line in all my perl scripts while working on them. It makes it so much easier to debug a script. When you have it working, either remove the line, or just comment it out.
