Hi to all,

please feel free to test drive the updated, language-aware skin at http://demo4.cpanelthemes.com:2082

username: demo4
password: demo4

I case you need a translated skin, this should be perfect for you as you only need to translate 1 file.

If you want to have a look at the language file, you can download it here:
http://cpanelthemes.com/languagefiles/cpanellanguage.txt.tgz
or
http://cpanelthemes.com/languagefiles/cpanellanguage.txt.zip

New about this? Nothing new. Just go to http://cpanelthemes.com and order. You can even download the language file first to check it before you buy.

How would I go about adding the following tags:

&meta http-equiv=&Content-Type& content=&text/html; charset=XXXXXXXXXXXXX&&
&meta http-equiv=&Content-Language& content=&XXXXXXXXXXXXX&&

I need them in the &head& section of EVERY page.

I am using the default cpanel skin now. Looking for a good looking / easy to use skin that can be translated to another language (for that to work properly I will need to change those tags).

You must edit all 160+ files and add the charset tag &sigh&

You may want to think about adding the function of changing those tags in 1 place.

Why me? We are talking about the default theme or not?

With my theme you can really do it by changing one file.

Oh. Nice. That's what I was asking.

I was saying that I use the default one now, but LOOKING for a new one that is easy to translate to other languages (I am not so bothered about the looks).

So, which file would I have to change? Is it the same cpanellanguage.txt file that u were talikng about earlier?

no, actually it is in the header now but it would be a better idea to include it in the language file so it can switch using one and the same cpanel. Nice idea.

Great. The other question I had is regarding WHM/Cpanel updates.

As u know we get them every day (I wish it was optional).
Sometimes Cpanel default schemes are also updated (new functionality, blah blah.

Should I really be bothered about these? The thing is that our sys.admin tells me that we should use the default scheme BECAUSE OF UPDATES. I do not entirely beleive that. Who's right?

Both are right.

Using default you have all options immediatelly. Sometimes this is not wanted (you may not want to offer some options). Using a custom skin you must wait until the developer integrates the newest features. I don't know how others handle this, I update about once a month.
